NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that the bloc will deploy a permanent full-scale military force on the eastern flank to deter Russia. The move comes in response to Moscow’s military campaign against Ukraine.
In an interview published by The Telegraph on Saturday, Stoltenberg explained that the US-led military organisation has been focused on “a very fundamental transformation” in order to better reflect the “new reality” in Europe.
“We have now asked our military commanders to provide options for what we call a reset, a more longer-term adaptation of NATO,” he said, adding that the decisions on the matter are expected at the bloc’s summit in Madrid, Spain in June.
“This is part of the reset which we have to make, which is to move from tripwire deterrence to something which is more about deterrence by denial or defense. This is already in process.”
Stoltenberg said last month that the bloc had 40,000 troops “under direct command,” mostly in Eastern Europe.The group’s individual members are supplying Kiev with weapons, ranging from anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile systems to tanks and armored fighting vehicles.
This is all a lot more goofiness.
NATO is literally claiming that Russia is planning to invade Poland, because this is all part of a secret plan to rebuild the Soviet Union. They can claim that because anyone speaking any kind of common sense is banned from speaking in public.
We’re now not even allowed to hear statements from Russia.
All of this looks very desperate, and very bad. These people are freaking out because they can’t exercise power over the Ukraine, and they are just going ape. It’s a kind of mass breakdown, where they just cannot comprehend the idea that anyone in the world would be capable of telling them “no.”
All of these sanctions, the weapons to the Ukraine, the NATO build-up, the atrocity hoaxes – this is a gigantic tantrum.
This is going to end with a decisive Russian victory, and the status of the US/NATO drastically diminished. Every country that is not America, Europe, or Australia sees how unhinged the West has become, and all of the Western allies outside of these controlled territories are looking for an exit.
The West is building an Iron Curtain around itself.
But with the communist Iron Curtain, they had everything they needed behind it. The US relies on imports from countries it is building an Iron Curtain against.
