Xylazine is an animal tranquilizer. It’s much more powerful than its better known cousin, ketamine. The street name is “tranq.”

Drug people have been cutting fentanyl with xylazine for a while now, but the trend appears to be picking up.

Frankly, anything that keeps the street people laying on the pavement, rather than getting in people’s faces, is objectively good for society.

New York Post:

Horrific footage shows the devastating toll the “tranq” drug epidemic has had on addicts in Philadelphia.

The Kensington neighborhood —  made infamous by its open-air drug market — is seen completely packed with the slumped-over and passed-out drug users in the video posted to TikTok by urbanvisuals2.0.

The harrowing clip comes as the “City of Brother Love” struggles with the rising use of the drug Xylazine, or “tranq,” which is a deadly sedative used to enhance the effects of heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl.

The drug is so potent the White House recently declared it an “emerging threat.”

Dr. Rahul Gupta, Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, issued the warning last month.

Philadelphia health officials say the city has been greatly impacted by the epidemic.

“Xylazine has hit Philadelphia particularly hard, causing increased overdose deaths as well as severe wounds that can lead to sepsis and amputation,” the Philadelphia Department of Health and Board of Health said in a joint statement last month.

“As a result, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health has been working closely with partners across the city to address this new aspect of the drug overdose epidemic.”

I’ve personally advocated for killing junkies, so the overdoses seem like a plus.

That said, I have also pointed out that no one has explained to me why, if you believe in democracy values, you would not simply become a street junkie.

Democracy values argue that there is no purpose to human existence beyond gay anal sex. They are against religion, nationalism, and family, which are the three things that used to give people’s lives meaning.

If you internalize democracy values of a rules-based order, you are admitting that your life has literally no meaning whatsoever.

So why would you not become a street junkie?

What is the point in caring about anything at all, beyond maximizing dopamine?

The democracy system of our values has yet to give an explanation for this, and methinks they probably agree with “you might as well just be a junkie on the street” thinking.

After all: it’s their values we’re working with to come to this conclusion.

If you assume someone is high IQ, they can get rich and afford expensive hookers and better drugs. Aside from the fact that street junkies are obviously not high IQ, however, you also have the fact that getting rich creates stress, whereas being a junkie on the street means zero stress.

I mean, if we just use the Socratic method here, can you think of any single reason, within this current logic, that you would not be a street junkie?
