If they were planning to assassinate people, then why didn’t they do it? They were in the building.
I was sitting there watching it, and saying “if they wanted to, they could just start killing people.”
Obviously, they didn’t. Instead, they just hung out for a while and then peacefully filed out.
This is basic “alternative reality promotion.”
Federal prosecutors offered an ominous new assessment of last week’s siege of the U.S. Capitol by President Donald Trump’s supporters on Thursday, saying in a court filing that rioters intended “to capture and assassinate elected officials.”
Prosecutors offered that view in a filing asking a judge to detain Jacob Chansley, the Arizona man and QAnon conspiracy theorist who was famously photographed wearing horns as he stood at the desk of Vice-President Mike Pence in the chamber of the U.S. Senate.
The detention memo, written by Justice Department lawyers in Arizona, goes into greater detail about the FBI’s investigation into Chansley, revealing that he left a note for Pence warning that “it’s only a matter of time, justice is coming.”
“Strong evidence, including Chansley’s own words and actions at the Capitol, supports that the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States government,” prosecutors wrote.
A public defender representing Chansley could not be immediately reached for comment. Chansley is due to appear in federal court on Friday.
The prosecutors’ assessment comes as prosecutors and federal agents have begun bringing more serious charges tied to violence at the Capitol, including revealing cases Thursday against one man, retired firefighter Robert Sanford, on charges that he hurled a fire extinguisher at the head of one police officer and another, Peter Stager, of beating a different officer with a pole bearing an American flag.
In Chansley’s case, prosecutors said the charges “involve active participation in an insurrection attempting to violently overthrow the United States government,” and warned that “the insurrection is still in progress” as law enforcement prepares for more demonstrations in Washington and state capitals.
They also suggested he suffers from drug abuse and mental illness, and told the judge he poses a serious flight risk.
“Chansley has spoken openly about his belief that he is an alien, a higher being, and he is here on Earth to ascend to another reality,” they wrote.
Good optics.
Anyway – this is all just goofy.
The cops opened the doors, people walked in, they milled about for a bit, someone moved a podium around.
That’s all.
The entirety of the charges are based on the idea that this is a sacred temple – and it isn’t. It’s an old building that maybe used to symbolize something, but hasn’t symbolized anything for a very long time.
I hate to be too cliché, but if these people cared about “healing” and all the rest of this stuff they’re talking about, their primary agenda would be to figure out why these people were so angry – not to come up with deranged, lunatic and obviously false claims about them.
These people were really, really angry.
Dismissing that and claiming “oh they’re just stupid, worthless peasants” is not really a Sun Tzu Art of War move.
Silencing 70 million rage-fueled people by accusing them of crimes they obviously didn’t commit is a really, really hard task, and it is probably impossible.
There would be a lot of different ways to deescalate this. I mean, if I was sitting in a room with these people with a whiteboard, it would be like, “yo, I’m gonna need a bigger white board.”
Every single play they are making implies that there is a plan for TOTAL ESCALATION.
The obvious reality is that they have ZERO interest in de-escalation. They are trying to clamp down on everyone and lock them in a box, because they are trying to bully them into committing acts of terrorism, which will then swing public opinion against them, and allow for a further crackdown.
And I have to say it: they do seem really, really concerned about injecting these people with the vaccine.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I’m just sitting here watching it, and this vaccine is very, very important to these people, and it isn’t because of a virus that so far has not increased the total death rate at all.
I don’t know why they want to inject people with this, but I know it doesn’t have anything to do with public health, and it actually does appear to have to do with civil unrest.
So, that’s up to you to figure out.
We report – you decide.
But as per our report: this is a total mess.
