Jerome Dzwonek.
AN IPHONE CORD !!!
This has to be a first!
A man has been arrested on suspicion of strangling a woman to death with an iPhone cord.
Police arrested Jerome Dzwonek, 21, on Tuesday, two days after the body of victim Larissa Cole, 20, was found dumped behind Viking Skate roller skating rink in Redding, California.
Redding Police Department believe Dzownek strangled her to death with an iPhone cord following an assessment of digital evidence and witness statements.
Dzwonek has admitted to carrying out the crime, police say.
Police were alerted to a dead body outside the ice rink on Tuesday, and they quickly identified the death to be a homicide.
Police say Dzwonek was the last person to communicate with Cole in the lead up to her death.
After questioning the 21-year-old and searching his home on Butte Street in Redding, they put him under arrest on suspicion of the murder.
During the interview with investigators, officials say he confessed to strangling Cole with the iPhone cable following some kind of altercation between the pair on Sunday morning.
…
Police have not yet revealed a motive for the violent crime, but say there is no evidence to suggest Cole was sexually assaulted.
