The leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates would not come to the phone when President Biden tried to call them to discuss boosting oil exports to offset price hikes linked to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, according to a report.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan declined Biden’s attempted outreach, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.
“There was some expectation of a phone call, but it didn’t happen,“ a US official told the newspaper. ”It was part of turning on the spigot [of Saudi oil].”
Biden on Tuesday morning banned Russian oil imports and said gasoline prices would increase even more after hitting an all-time high of $4.17 per gallon on average.
Any country declining a call from an American President is something unheard of since the advent of international telecommunications.
Imagine it – Biden gets put on hold with a secretary and then he’s listening to muzak until the call drops. He tries to call back and then the secretary immediately hangs up once she hears his voice.
This is the beginning of the US no longer being seen as a serious or important country. This Dying Empire has been humiliated, and it is clearly and obviously internally destroying itself, so there is no need to respect it. It’s now just an annoyance.
The average brainwashed American idiot might think that Russia is losing the war in the Ukraine, that they forgot gas, that their trucks are all breaking down. They might think Zelensky is Winston Churchill. Beyond the plebs, the leaders of the West themselves might believe this. But anyone who runs a foreign country not directly involved in the conflict is aware that the entire thing is a farce, and this Ukraine debacle is another very massive, public, humiliating defeat for the Western Anal Alliance.
The Arabs are all presumably in talks with the Chinese, as they see the West collapsing.
It was also idiotic for Brandon to try to get oil from Iran and Saudi at the same time. This is like if you’re dating two different women and you invite them both to the same party.
