Watch: CBS Demands People Eat Bugs (This is Not Some Boomer Meme – You are Going to Live to Eat Bugs)

A lot of people seem to think the “eat the bugs” thing is some cute joke, or some stupid QAnon bullshit.

It’s really not.

They are actually going to force you to eat bugs.

New York Post:

“CBS Saturday Morning” featured a segment suggesting adding insects into a diet could provide benefits for a growing world affected by climate change.

To counter meat, soybean-derived proteins, or other high-carbon foods, the segment described efforts by climate experts and scientists to explore farming bugs to protect the planet.

“We all know how important insects are for the environment, but climate researchers say bugs could be a game changer in the fight to protect the planet in ways you may not have imagined,” host Dana Jacobson said.

Reporter Tina Kraus explained, “Adding some insects to the mix is customary in the kitchen in some parts of the world. Now climate experts think the protein-packed pests could offer a real solution to the global food crisis. Scientists in Germany are not pushing to get the critters your plate, they see another benefit.”

One scientist interviewed said their intention is not to force bugs onto menus but be used as an alternative for animal feed.

To have a more sustainable production of proteins, we need this and I see insects as a perfect tool,” the scientist argued. “And you can make so many things out of insects, and to make the world better.”

They’re not just going to give you Asian-style piles of insects to eat, if that’s what you’re thinking.

They’re going to start integrating bugs into normal foods, using “cricket flour” and other bug-based ingredients.

These gross-out photos are probably basically meant to confuse the issue, so that when you finally read the ingredients on your breakfast cereal or protein bar and realize you’re already eating bugs, you say to yourself “oh well – this isn’t so bad.”

Frankly, most of the ingredients in processed food right now are worse than bugs.

I don’t know how someone can eat breakfast cereal or protein bars – just for example – and then act like it’s some big outrage that they’re going to start putting bugs into these processed fake foods.

You should either make your own food out of whole foods (that is, meats and vegetables that you buy fresh), or you should eat at really expensive restaurants every day. Anything that is in a box or a bag in the grocery store is already worse than bugs. And yes, I would include the crap boxed food that says “organic” and “gluten free” and so on (though yes, that stuff at Amazon Whole Foods that costs three times more probably is a little bit better, I would guess – but it’s still crap).
