The Swiss government has confirmed media reports that a 51-year-old woman who died after she fell from a residential building in the wealthy Tehran suburb of Kamraniyeh was its embassy’s first secretary.
“The FDFA [Swiss foreign ministry] confirms that a Swiss employee of the Swiss Embassy in Tehran died in a fatal accident on Tuesday,” the ministry in Bern said in a statement.
“The FDFA and its head Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis are shocked by the tragic death and express their deepest condolences to the family,” the statement read, without identifying the victim by name.
A spokesman for Iran’s emergency services, Mojtaba Khaledi, confirmed the woman’s first secretary role at the embassy to the semi-official news agency Mehr, but did not reveal her name.
“It is not yet clear whether this person committed suicide or whether the fall was just an accident, but the time of her death has long passed,” he said.
The woman fell from the Kamraniyeh Towers, a high-rise block in the north of the city, where she lived on the 18th floor, according to another semi-official news agency, ILNA.
The Swiss embassy noted that she was the second highest-ranking official at the embassy.
We can say for certain: falling out of buildings is not something that happens very often.
The last time I personally remember this happening was in Kuala Lumpur – a “Dutch” “model” – who was actually half Dutch (born in Malaysia to local woman with white father), and in this context “model” means “prostitute” – falling out of a window naked.
It was a big story because she was young and naked and had a foreign citizenship, but if you read the story, she was just working as a hooker in a high-rise condo and got drunk and fell off the balcony. There was nothing really very suspicious about it. If she’d died from drugs directly, it wouldn’t have been a top international news story – it was big news because she fell out of a window.
This does not happen very often.
So to have a Swiss embassy employee fall off of a building in a country where drugs and alcohol are illegal, which is also one of only three major countries that the West is trying to start a new war with, which is also the target of nonstop intelligence meddling – it’s quite a rare thing.
And of course, it adds suspicion that the mainstream media isn’t reporting on it, and you have to find out about it in RT. (Note: I’m sure other media is reporting it, but it’s probably on a back page where even I might not notice it.)
Without doubt, a lot of people are going to come up with theories about how this woman was killed by the Mossad, or how she was killed by someone else because she was working for the Mossad.
But we don’t know, and we probably never will know what happened here.
I will say that although drugs and alcohol are illegal in Iran, you can still get them. It’s not hard to get them. The government doesn’t really go after foreigners for such things, and if she was working at the embassy, she had immunity anyway. So it’s safe to assume that the woman was drunk or on something else.
It should also be noted that in the third world (and also even in places like Italy), balconies do not have the same regulations that we have in Western countries. The regulations in Western countries make it so even if you are somewhat tall, the top of the balcony is higher than your center of gravity, meaning there is effectively no way to just fall off – you have to either jump or be thrown. But I have been in a lot of places outside of the West and noted that high-up balconies are not high enough to meet my center of gravity. Obviously, third world people (and Italians) tend to be shorter, so that’s part of it.
Probably, any high-rise building in Tehran is going to be built by Chinese engineers, to those specs. Chinese are short and build short balconies, while even Swiss women tend to be tall.

Most of those balconies have a metal bar extending the balcony, but the ones all the way at the left there do not.
So it is possible she did fall.
Or maybe she committed suicide because Iran is so boring (even without virus insanity, which Iran has embraced).
But yes: it’s very likely there was something dirty going on here.
However, we will not ever know. Right now, I can’t even find the woman’s name.
