Here’s a news bit, via NBC News:
A white Kentucky man who gunned down two Black people at a grocery store in October 2018 pleaded guilty to federal hate crime and firearm charges.
Federal prosecutors said Thursday that Gregory Bush, 53, of Louisville, targeted the victims because of their race.
The shootings happened just before 3 p.m. Oct. 24, 2018, at a Kroger store in Jeffersontown.
Bush said during his plea hearing that he drove to the store armed with a Smith & Wesson pistol, according to a Department of Justice press release. After walking inside, he followed a Black man who was shopping with his grandson.
Prosecutors said Bush shot the man, Maurice Stallard, 69, in the back of the head and then shot him several more times in the torso, killing him. Bush then re-holstered his gun and “calmly walked out the store,” according to the press release.
In the parking lot, Bush walked up to Vickie Lee Jones, 67, and shot her several times in the head and body. Jones, a Black woman, died at the scene.
Federal prosecutors said that Bush did not know the two victims and chose to shoot them because of their race.
Seconds after Jones was killed, a Black man approached Bush and asked what was going on. Without responding, Bush walked toward the man with his gun drawn. The man, who was in lawful possession of a handgun, fired at Bush.
Prosecutors said that Bush shot at the man and then walked away. Authorities previously said that the man, identified by local media outlets as Dominiic Rozier, was not struck.
“Bush had no prior relationship with the third victim and chose to shoot at him because of his race,” the DOJ said.
Rozier told NBC affiliate WAVE in an October 2018 interview that he fired at Bush to protect his wife.
“I could have died,” he said. “She could have died. A lot more people could have died.”
According to prosecutors, a white man, who was legally armed, also encountered Bush in the store’s parking lot. Bush told that man not to shoot him and said that “whites don’t shoot whites,” the press release states.
I don’t think I had ever heard of this story, which seemed strange, given that as it is outlined in this article, it is the perfect “ten day media barrage” story.
The article does not mention mental illness, other than in the final paragraph, where they only mention it as part of his plea:
He is already serving a life sentence in state prison after pleading guilty but mentally ill to local charges of murder, attempted murder, and wanton endangerment. His attorney could not be reached on Friday.
But they did show a picture of the guy:

Some interesting factoids.
Gregory Alan Bush was arrested by Jeffersontown police as the suspect. He is divorced and was living in Jeffersontown. According to the local police chief, Bush had a history of mental illness and domestic violence; in a 2001 incident his ex-wife (who is black) gained an emergency protective order against him; during an altercation he twice used a racial epithet against her. By this order he was barred for three years from having or buying guns. In January 2009, as a result of domestic violence against his parents, with whom Bush was living, the judge ordered him to “surrender his guns and undergo mental health treatment.” Bush had attacked his father and threatened to kill his parents.
In relation to the Kroger shooting, the Louisville police chief described it as a hate crime motivated by Bush’s racism.
The New York Times published a quote from a Facebook page appearing to belong to Bush: “My paranoid-schizophrenia finally stopped me from working and now am on mental disability. I’m lucky I made it this far with all the trouble I’ve caused myself when I get off my medicine.”
Tommy Juanso, an attorney and former friend of Bush, had said that his friend’s rhetoric had become increasingly vitriolic during the heated 2016 presidential campaign and the political polarization it created. Juanso is biracial and said that Bush mocked him, calling him “The Big O” (referring to President Barack Obama). In Bush’s social media accounts, such as Twitter, he had posted frequently about black-on-black crime and made racial insults.
Let’s just review that:
- He was married to a black woman
- He has a decades long history of mental illness
- He was diagnosed with and medicated for paranoid schizophrenia
- He tried to kill his parents
- His black friend said he became jokingly racist in 2016
So, yes – that explains why the media didn’t cover this story aggressively. Most people would find that those details don’t fit into the narrative of “organized gangs of psycho race haters who want to destroy the color of the skin to create a new Aryan Reich.”
The Wikipedia page also mentions that lobbying groups showed up pressuring politicians to make the claim that the killings had no relationship to his mental illness.
Many activist groups, such as Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression and Showing Up for Racial Justice, met with local politicians to urge that Bush be charged with a hate crime. They expressed concern that he might escape justice by using mental illness as a defense. As one member told officials, “Mental illness does not prompt you to wake up wanting to kill black people. Mental illness does not discriminate as this man did.”
That is just really outrageous, and shows how much these organizations want to find these “hate crimes” for their records. This man clearly should have been in an asylum, but he was out on the street because our country for some reason doesn’t have asylums anymore.
Here’s another interesting fact.
According to CNN, the event was one of three hate-motivated events that took place in the United States the same week, along with a shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh and a series of mail bombing attempts.
What are the chances of these three things happening in the same week?
Note that both the Pittsburgh shooter and the “mail bomber” (actually fake bombs) both had their own very strange histories.
This latest shooting – the Massage Parlor Massacre – is very, very strange. One of the strangest that I’ve seen, as well as one of the most convenient. They were trying to push this narrative of “anti-Asian hate” – then BOOM – there it is.
Is it a totally crazy conspiracy theory to think that the government is messing with mentally ill people to get them to commit these crimes?
MK Ultra is a real thing.
For anyone who doesn’t know, the CIA’s research into mind control is fully documented and admitted. And it worked.

Project MKUltra (or MK-Ultra) is the code name given to a program of experiments on human subjects that were designed and undertaken by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), some of which were illegal. Experiments on humans were intended to identify and develop drugs and procedures to be used in interrogations in order to weaken the individual and force confessions through brainwashing and psychological torture. The project was organized through the Office of Scientific Intelligence of the CIA and coordinated with the United States Army Biological Warfare Laboratories. Other code names for drug-related experiments were Project Bluebird and Project Artichoke.
The operation was officially sanctioned in 1953, reduced in scope in 1964 and further curtailed in 1967. It was officially halted in 1973. The program also engaged in illegal activities, including the use of U.S. and Canadian citizens as its unwitting test subjects, which led to controversy regarding its legitimacy. MKUltra used numerous methods to manipulate its subjects’ mental states and brain functions. Techniques included the covert administration of high doses of psychoactive drugs (especially LSD) and other chemicals, electroshocks, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, and verbal and sexual abuse, in addition to other forms of torture.
The scope of Project MKUltra was broad, with research undertaken at more than 80 institutions, including colleges and universities, hospitals, prisons, and pharmaceutical companies. The CIA operated using front organizations, although sometimes top officials at these institutions were aware of the CIA’s involvement.
Project MKUltra was first brought to public attention in 1975 by the Church Committee of the United States Congress and Gerald Ford’s United States President’s Commission on CIA activities within the United States (also known as the Rockefeller Commission).
It turns out that the Massage Parlor Shooter, Robert Aaron Long, had also been in some form of mental health care facility, in the form of a church treating “sex addiction.”
If you read about the way the CIA used front groups, some of which weren’t even aware they were being used, to do the original MK Ultra experiments, then the idea that this church’s facility could be used for purposes along these lines is hardly an outrageous suggestion.
It is certainly within the realm of possibility that the psychologists at this sex treatment facility could have used some methods of mind control to convince this dim-witted fellow to shoot up massage parlors.
But hey – who the hell knows, right?
Maybe these are all just weird events, that happen to line up with the popular narrative, by coincidence?
I mean that sincerely – I’m not a conspiracy theorist. I’m just throwing this out there, because it is something I think about, and it is at the very least interesting.
Obviously, it is on some level futile to speculate about these sorts of things, as you could never prove them.
But when people have been literally hospitalized for mental illness, then they come out and commit an act that is totally in-line with the goals of the government and media, it does make you ?.
