“Right up his bunghole!” -Erdogan 2016

Turkey is a respected democratic country which will soon be a member of the EU.

We can’t judge them for ramming a few objects up the anuses of prisoners.

PressTV:

Amnesty International says it has ‘credible evidence’ that inmates detained after a failed military coup in Turkey have been subjected to torture and abuse.

The Britain-based group said in a report on Sunday that it had received reports that police in the capital Ankara and Istanbul were holding some detainees in “stress positions” for up to 48 hours.

The international rights group also noted that captives were being denied basic necessities such as food, water and medical treatment.

The prisoners were also being threatened and verbally abused at the detention centers, it added.

The report has been based on interviews conducted with lawyers, doctors and one person on duty in a detention facility.

Two lawyers working in Ankara on behalf of the detainees told Amnesty that they had witnessed “senior military officers in detention being raped with a truncheon or finger by police officers.”

Amnesty International’s Europe director, John Dalhuisen, voiced serious concern over violations and abuses.

“Reports of abuse including beatings and rape in detention are extremely alarming, especially given the scale of detentions that we have seen in the past week. The grim details that we have documented are just a snapshot of the abuses that might be happening in places of detention,” Dalhuisen said

“It is absolutely imperative that the Turkish authorities halt these abhorrent practices and allow international monitors to visit all these detainees in the places they are being held,” he added.

It’s very funny the way the Western establishment is responding to this crackdown.

It’s like: “OH MY GOD I CAN’T BELIEVE THESE SAVAGES ARE ACTING SAVAGELY.”

Turkey recently announced they are planning mass executions of thousands of people, and a German politicians is calling for sanctions.

Sputnik:

Co-head of Green Party Cem Ozdemir has called on Europe to sanction Turkey over tyranny and cautioned against radical Turkish nationalists in Germany.

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently hinted that his regime may execute the 13,000 people believed to be tied to the failed military coup in the country. Bundestag Deputy Cem Ozdemir on Sunday urged Europe to react, and not just rhetorically, but with sanctions for violations of basic human rights in Turkey.

“When democracy, rule of law and human rights are ignored, the EU should consider sanctions against those in power. For instance, we can freeze accounts and assets,” Ozdemir suggested in an interview with Bild am Sonntag.

He added that there is a threat coming from Turkish nationalists living in Germany who are exposed to Ankara’s influence and that these radical groups should be taken seriously by German politicians.

“There is, unfortunately, a form of Turkish PEGIDA [anti-immigration movement] in Germany that we must treat the same way as the group we already know of,” He told the newspaper.

Meanwhile, Mama Merkel isn’t saying much at all on the topic of her BFF Erdogan.

But apparently, she’s sticking to this deal where she’s agreed to send him billions in bribe money to stop him from flooding Europe with “refugees.”

Sputnik:

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will stick to the EU-Turkey agreement on refugees despite Ankara’s crackdown on the opposition and civil liberties that provoked criticism from the EU member-states after the recent failed Turkish coup attempt, German Alliance for Progress and Renewal party’s (ALFA) spokesman Christian Schmidt told Sputnik on Monday.’

“Can Merkel afford to kill the agreement she has with [Turkish President Recep Tayyp] Erdogan on refugees? No, I don’t think so. I believe, the German government, despite the EU calls for reviewing these and any other agreements with Turkey, will stick to the real politics that require, sometimes, deals with dictators in order to preserve security and stability,” Schmidt said.

He added that the German chancellor cannot afford to jeopardize the temporary political calm after rather successful agreement with Turkey that stem a flow of migrants ahead of the upcoming German regional elections in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Berlin in September.

“Merkel would not want to deal with a growing pressure over refugees ahead of regional elections as it will lead to a surge in popularity for the right-wing parties and will caused difficulty within the coalition with the Social Democrats,” Schmidt said.

Never forget: this is what happens when you have a grandma leader.

In other Turk news, Erdogan is still whining about extraditing that guy he claims did the coup, while still failing to provide any evidence whatsoever he was responsible for the coup.

RT:

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that the ties with the US could turn sour unless Washington extradites cleric Gulen, who, according to Ankara, is behind the failed coup.

His statement comes ahead of his trip to the US, and he said he would discuss the relations with US officials during the visit.

Washington has repeatedly said that Turkey must give clear evidence of Gulen’s link with the attempted coup before discussing any possible extradition. Lawyers have said the process, if launched, may take years.

Cavusoglu also said Turkey may remove some ambassadors linked to the coup attempt.

Cavusoglu warned the EU that it “can’t threaten Turkey.”

Yeah – no one can threaten Turkey.

It’s the strongest country of all.
