Boomer Fronthole Joins Pfizer Bagman Neil Young’s Anti-Spotify Convoy

I didn’t know that Joni Mitchell wasn’t Carly Simon until just now. And I’m an expert in boomer music.

One time I wrote an article called “With Regards to Carly Simon’s Nipples.”

RT:

Canadian Grammy-award-winning singer and songwriter, Joni Mitchell, has decided to remove her music from one of the most popular streaming platforms, Spotify. The decision comes as an apparent protest against the service hosting a podcast by US comedian Joe Rogan, who she believes to be popularizing anti-vaccination views.

“Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives,” the 78-year-old rock star wrote on her website on Friday, announcing she wants “all” her music off the platform. While she didn’t specify Rogan’s podcast, the musician explained she stands “in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities.”

Earlier this week, Young openly criticized Spotify for hosting the controversial podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. “They can have Rogan or Young – not both,” the legendary rocker said as he quit the platform. He accused Spotify not only of spreading “harmful” Covid information, but also of providing poor sound quality.

Young has called on others to join the standoff, with the #CancelSpotify hashtag trending on social media.

No, wait.

Joni Mitchell did record some stuff with James Taylor. They did a Peel Session together.

I knew she wasn’t Carly Simon, but they both really are garbage cultural products that were sold as sex symbols rather than musicians.

Imagine what age does to women.

The bitch is indistinguishable from Neil Young. They could be the same person.

Women age like corpses.

Did you guys see the “Bridget Fonda emerges for first time in 12 years” photos?

Women are probably designed to die in childbirth, and we should really figure out a way to make them have children and then die. It’s just disgusting having them around after they’re 25 or so.

Most female musicians have been garbage, sold exclusively as sex symbols – or they’ve been frontwomen for a male musician. Stevie Nicks was actually good, but she was just a fronthole frontperson for Lindsey Buckingham. I don’t really believe she wrote the songs her name is credited to. I think Lindsey just let her put her name on them, like Percy Shelly let Mary put her name on Frankenstein.

My favorite female musician is Emmylou Harris. Here’s the track listing with the writers on her most famous album.

I also like Nico. But she recorded music totally produced by men, then Jim Morrison told her she should write her own songs, and then she tried and brought in John Cale, probably gave him blowjobs to fix her garbage, and the albums still mostly sucked.

Women are truly worthless creatures.

The point is: Neil Young has created a trend. One boomer quitting Spotify as part of a Pfizer lobbying program is just a weird event, but two is the beginning of a trend.

It’s obvious that more musicians are going to do this.

It will be interesting to see how it develops.

Joe is in too deep to just cuck out at this point. The damage is done. No going back now. They won’t forgive him for the Robert Malone interview.

Joe got $100 million from Spotify. It’s hard to imagine that such an expensive contract would allow him to keep doing podcasts somewhere else if he was fired.

I don’t know how much money popular musicians are making off Spotify. Young and Mitchell are old and suck, and the amount of publicity they are getting from quitting the service is worth more than whatever they were getting from Spotify.

But aside from a potential convoy of musicians quitting, Spotify is under a whole lot of other pressure.

Joe is not yet the Daily Stormer (and he’s offensively pretended to not know who I am – at least twice). But this anti-vax stuff is becoming about as poisonous to the media as saying “Jews are overrepresented in positions of power and appear to be using this power for subversive purposes they are not being perfectly straightforward about.”

Spotify is also itself a total shitlib company, like every other tech company, which is no doubt regretting they ever bought Joe Rogan for $100 million. That said, from a marketing standpoint, all things being equal, it was a good investment. Joe is by far the most popular broadcaster in the world.
