Boris Just Resigned (Or Something)

I don’t really know what this means.

BBC:

Boris Johnson will resign as Conservative leader today – he will continue as Prime Minister until the autumn.

A Conservative leadership race will take place this summer and a new Prime Minister will be in place in time for the Tory party conference in October.

A No 10 source says Mr Johnson spoke to Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the Conservative 1922 Committee, to inform him of his decision.

“The Prime Minister has spoken to Graham Brady and agreed to stand down in time for a new leader to be in place by the conference in October,” the source says.

Remember when Angela Merkel “resigned” over the handling of the “migrant” invasion, and then she just stayed in office for years, I guess just assuming everyone had forgotten that she’d resigned?

The way a parliamentary system is structured is not that much different than the way the American system is structured. When Richard Nixon resigned, he didn’t say “but yeah, I’m gonna hang around for a while.” There is an immediate replacement lined up, as there is with any head of state (there has to be that, in case of death or assassination).

I don’t really know a comprehensive history of prime minister resignations, but as far as I can tell, Boris is stealing this move from Merkel, who also didn’t technically “resign as prime minister.”

The only reason he would not just resign outright is that he thinks he can somehow turn this around. Or, much more likely, because he (like Joe Biden) needs to do a whole bunch more stuff everyone hates before he goes.

The media is uhhh… accusing him of being a KGB stooge?

It’s believable because his name is “Boris.”

The point is: it’s time for the real leader of the United Kingdom to take total control, and turn the guns away from Russia and toward the REAL enemy.
