Your elected representatives, gamers and gentlemen:

This new batch of congressmen are making a mockery of our Human Rights Freedom Democracy ™ !

New York Post:

A congressman from California became the butt of everyone’s joke for appearing to fart on live television Monday night.

Rep. Eric Swalwell was mid-sentence on MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews” when it sounded like he let ‘er rip.

“Chris, so far the evidence is uncontradicted that the president used taxpayer dollars to help him cheat —” Swalwell says with a pause, as the noise is clearly heard, “— an election.”

I’m not even sure “fart” is the right word here. Play the clip a few times. It sounds like he straight-up shit himself.

For shame, Congressman. Think of the camera crew.

You have literally one job as an elected representative: not to have a bowel movement on live television. That’s literally it. A monkey in a diaper could have done a better job than this Eric Swalwell fellow.

But the 39-year-old Democrat, who’s been in Congress since 2013 and sits on the House Judiciary Committee, was quick to deny the apparent tummy troubles.

“It was not me!!!!!” he texted a BuzzFeed News reporter. “Ha. And I didn’t hear it when I was speaking.”

Twitter users cried foul.

“It is real you can tell the pause he takes to push it out,” one person wrote.

Another noted, “The slight pause as he realizes he can’t hold it in any longer is pure gold.”

So this is how Democracy dies… with a thunderous shart.

I think it’s quite fitting, personally.

But maybe I’m reading this wrong?

Maybe this was a flex.

After all, Eric Swalwell went on MSNBC to talk about impeaching Donald Trump, so it could have been an alpha move, a display of dominance – pungent masculinity, as it were. If this was indeed the case, then we need to forget about impeachment and switch the conversation to BRAAAP control – which is clearly a more pressing issue in Washington.
