There was no such thing as abortion when your constitution was written.
How can it be a constitutional right? https://t.co/J4l5leIhC9

Abortion doesn’t keep you from being a mother. It just makes you the mother of a dead child. pic.twitter.com/XeumPn4BI5

Roe v. Wade was overturned, and literally nothing happened.
These people act like everything is the apocalypse.
Right-wingers do the same, I guess. Yesterday, a lot of people thought it really was the apocalypse. To be fair, that attempted coup in Russia was the first really reasonable time to think that since like, 911.
But both right-wingers and left-wingers acted like Roe being overturned would be this big thing, and nothing seems to have happened at all. I’m sure we saved a few kids in a few states, but there was no de-slutification of society.
To really make something happen, you need a federal ban on abortion, where the doctor and the woman are both charged with first-degree murder. As things are going now, these “charities” that will take women across state lines to kill the kids are going to really mean that only a small percentage of lives are being saved.
I do think abortion is murder, obviously. It is a real Holocaust, what has been done in this country. However, in some ways, the reverb from abortion has a bigger effect on society than the act itself, as the fact that it is legal enables women to act with impunity.
Of course, as I’ve pointed out before: abortion was legal everywhere, throughout history, and was being performed safely in America for several decades before it became a topic of debate. The thing was this: before the sexual revolution, the only people having abortions were prostitutes, and so no one was really thinking about it. After the sexual revolution of the 1960s, normal women started having abortions, and then it became an issue.
When you consider that, you can consider the context of all of these hot button issues. There is no one issue that solves anything. We need a revolution that tears down all of these established norms. The key problem, aside from “the Jews” (which is sometimes too simple of an answer in some ways, maybe), is women’s liberation. The core of a society is always the family, and women’s liberation destroys the family.
Abortion rights supporters and opponents will hold dueling rallies around the U.S. on Saturday, the first anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that had legalized the procedure nationwide.
In Washington, speakers from national abortion rights groups including Women’s March and NARAL Pro-Choice America will assemble in Columbus Circle to celebrate the defeat of some abortion opponents in the 2022 midterm races and rally voters ahead of next year’s congressional and presidential elections.
Across town at the Lincoln Memorial, anti-abortion groups including Students for Life America are hosting a “National Celebrate Life Day Rally.” Former Vice President Mike Pence, a 2024 Republican presidential candidate, will be among the speakers.
The June 24, 2022, Supreme Court ruling allowed U.S. states to ban abortion care for the first time in nearly 50 years. Conservative states have passed a flood of legislation to restrict the procedure, while other states have moved to protect abortion access.
Near-total abortion bans have taken effect in 14 states in the past year, even as opinion polls show that a majority of Americans want abortion legal in all or most cases.
Women shouldn’t have a say in the matter. That is the problem.
We should look at the numbers for men.
One of the first very offensive things Tucker Carlson said (at least after his miraculous transformation from bow-tie libertarian-neocon) was that men are responsible for abortion – that men get women pregnant and then pressure them into abortions. What that assumes (among other things) is that it is possible for a woman to “accidentally” get pregnant, which is basically entirely untrue. Statistically, however, most abortions are had without the knowledge of the father.
The idea that the father has zero rights in whether the child is born, and then has zero rights in whether he has to pay for the child, is totally insane and outrageous. It is on par with women having voting rights but not having to sign up for SSS. The man is the one who is going to have to pay for the kid, and yet he has no choice in whether or not it is born. If there was actual equality, both men and women would be able to decide on an abortion, and if they disagreed, they would have to flip a coin.
The issue is expected to remain central in next year’s congressional and presidential races, with activists on both sides using the anniversary to mobilize their base to get more politically engaged.
Leading reproductive rights groups – EMILYs List, NARAL Pro-Choice America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund – on Friday announced their endorsements of Democratic President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for reelection in 2024.
On Saturday, Harris will give a speech in Charlotte, North Carolina, in favor of national legislation to protect abortion rights, one week before a new Republican-backed law takes effect in the state and cuts the legal window for abortions from 20 to 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Democratic U.S. lawmakers proposed a measure on Thursday that would protect abortion patients and providers from criminalization nationwide, but its passage is unlikely given the deeply divided Congress.
In some ways, the whole issue is a scam.
I hope we are saving babies’ lives. But I don’t know if we are.
It must be noted that the current situation helps Democrats do election fraud. They say that abortion is so popular that huge numbers of people are single issue voters on this issue.
The actual reality is that no single woman is being denied an abortion if she wants one. She can always cross state lines. I don’t really know that women care that much. I don’t think the hysteria about how Republicans are going to ban it everywhere is sinking in, and I think there are a lot of women who would vote Republican for economic reasons.
The Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade was one of the darkest moments in our nation.
New York is a safe haven for those in need of safe abortion services, and I won’t stop fighting to protect access to this basic care.

We need to outlaw EVERYWHERE the harvesting and trafficking of fetal organs from unborn human beings killed by abortion. Trump stopped taxpayer funding for this barbarism (often used to create “humanized mice”) but Biden turned federal funding back on! https://t.co/HpuGjq6tef
