Internet Poll: 90% of British Want Boris to Resign

Is Boris trying to escape?

This isn’t a scientific poll. It’s an internet poll.

But 90% is a lot.

RT:

The Independent newspaper said a poll of its readers has revealed that the vast majority of respondents want British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to resign over alleged lockdown-breaching parties.

Readers were asked, “Should Boris Johnson resign?” with respondents given a choice of “Yes,” “No” and “Not sure.” Details of the Partygate allegations were also provided as context, the paper said.

Of the 891 respondents, 797 – or 89.5% – said Yes, the prime minister should resign.

The poll was launched after Johnson apologized for attending events during lockdown but insisted that he didn’t think he had broken his own rules. The survey ran for two weeks following Johnson’s remarks in the House of Commons.

It’s shocking the way people respond to things like the partygate scandal. This was the British government having cocktail parties while everyone else was locked in their house, or at least masked and banned from restaurants, pubs, and most shops.

Instead of saying “oh, they obviously don’t actually believe in this virus they’re telling us to be afraid of,” they say “it’s not fair that they’re not following the rules!”

Like bro. If there was a deadly virus, the ruling elite would be afraid of it too. If they’re not afraid of it at all, and are having cocktail parties while you’re locked in your house, that means they’re not afraid of the virus.

But the rules are now separated from the virus in people’s minds. They’ve normalized all this stuff to where people just do it “because it’s the rules.” I don’t think anyone is really afraid of the virus anymore. Just even on a subconscious level, if they tell you there’s a deadly plague for two years but no one you know has died from it, it becomes impossible to believe it.

But like trained animals, people have adapted to the rules.
