Joe Biden has given a speech at one of the many funerals of George Floyd, a deceased drug addict, violent felon, porn star and aspiring rapper who has become the center of the global conversation after having a drug-induced heart attack during his arrest last month. He performed the speech via teleconference because… of coronavirus, I guess.
This event is the single craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. The really scary part is that I know I’ll see something twice as scary tomorrow – or maybe before this day is done.
Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden struck a unifying tone with mourners during his virtual remarks at George Floyd’s funeral in Houston on Tuesday as Floyd’s death sparks calls for racial equality and police reform across the country.
“We can’t turn away. We must not turn away,” Biden said in a video address from his home in Delaware to the Fountain of Praise church in Houston.
“We cannot leave this moment thinking we can once again turn away from racism that stings at our very soul, from systemic abuse that still plagues American life,” he continued.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at the Houston church on Tuesday to honor Floyd, who died last month after a police officer pinned him to the ground with his knee on Floyd’s neck. The officer and three others have been fired and face charges. Floyd will be buried next to his mother in Pearland, Texas.
Biden, who met privately with the Floyd family on Monday, cited his own experience with the loss of loved ones and having to grieve in front of the nation.
“As I have said to you privately, we know. We know you will never feel the same again,” Biden said. “Unlike most, you must grieve in public. It is a burden. A burden that is now your purpose to change the world for the better in the name of George Floyd.”
The former vice president also directly addressed Floyd’s six-year-old daughter, Gianna, saying other black children have had to experience similar losses as a result of racism.
“I know you have a lot of questions, honey. No child should have to ask questions that too many black children have had to ask for generations: ‘Why? Why is daddy gone?’” he said to applause.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!11111
Didn’t someone check this script and say, “yeah, uh… you might maybe wanna work on that line… because uh… you know… kind of maybe a touchy subject…”
Man, that is funny stuff. I think I busted a rib.
Really gave me a good, deep laugh.
Now it’s back to reading the BIBLE and brooding over the coming end of everything due to a complete collapse of reality itself.
Because, seriously: what the hell is going on? Why is everything so incredibly bizarre right now? I mean, things have been bizarre for a while, and I kind of feel like in 2012 we entered a reality vortex. I’ve often attributed that to the establishment of so-called “anal marriage,” which was such a flagrant attack on the basic structure of society that it was bound to open a tear in the fabric of reality.
The thing is, there has been 100 times the weirdness in the first 6 1/3rd months of 2020 as there were in the 6 1/2 years between the establishment of “anal marriage” and the end of 2019. I’ve talked to dozens of people who have said the exact same thing to me: “the coronavirus lockdown was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen before this thing with the blacks.”
First, people were in a pathological state due to a mild flu that only kills people over the age of 75, then they started saying that unarmed blacks being killed by cops – there were a total of ten such cases in 2019 – amounts to a “genocide” and that the solution to this mass killing is to begin worshiping the blacks as gods.
We’re just stacking crazy upon crazy here – and it’s only going to get crazier.
What would you do if these two phenomena crossed over…? Would you completely lose your mind…?
Because I hate to break it to you, lad…
Yep.
“You clap for us, we kneel for you.”
I’m surprised the fabric of spacetime didn’t just fold in on itself right then – just pack it up and go back to the nothingness from which it emerged, with a “thanks, it was fun until about 100 years ago, but that was it, you broke me.”
I believe there is likely to be a third large scale psychiatric phenomenon emergence soon, though I do not know what it will be. Possibly a war.
By the way, we’re approaching the 5th anniversary of the legalization of anal marriage on June 26. Things are going to get even weirder then. You can just be sure of that.
