I don’t think this is a real poll.
Elizabeth Warren leads the Democratic nomination among voters nationwide, polling at 22%. The race is close, with the top four candidates within five points of one another; Warren is followed by Kamala Harris (21%), Joe Biden (18%), Bernie Sanders (17%), and, slightly further back, Pete Buttigieg (10%). Beto O’Rourke and Andrew Yang each receive 2% of support, and all other candidates poll at 1% or less.
Compared to our pre-debate survey (conducted June 19-21, 2019), Harris’ performance in the horse race changed the most; she gained 13 points after the debate, moving from 8% to 21%. Biden lost 6 points (24% to 18%) and Sanders lost 5 points (22% to 17%).
The before and after is shocking AND appalling.
I don’t think Elizabeth Warren was ever in first place.
Real Clear Politics isn’t even including this polling company. They do have an Economist poll with Warren at 19% and Biden at 23%.
But maybe Change Research is the real poll and all these other polls are fake?
I don’t know man.
I can’t see Warren being popular. Or Harris. Or Biden, for that matter.
I don’t think any of these people can win.
And my favorite politician agrees with me.
MARC LAMONT HILL: You mentioned Cory Book and Kamala Harris with regard to a bill. You did something with Bernie Sanders. You may not know this, but they’re all running for president. Where are you leaning these days? Have you thought about endorsing?
REP. ILHAN OMAR: I have not and I don’t intend on making an endorsement anytime soon. I think it’s a little too early. There is lots of important conversations that need to be had about particular policies. Everybody has ideas that are closely aligned and so it’s within the details often that you get to pick your candidate. As a policy nerd, those kind of things really matter to me. I also think there is this question of how do we defeat the occupant of the White House? What does that process really look like? How do we not only energize our base, but also get to the soul of our country and reclaim it? I don’t know if we have gotten that candidate yet.
Clearly, they do not have that candidate yet.
They’re going to need a much browner America before they find that candidate, I’d reckon.
Gabbard, Yang and Bernie are the only ones that can beat Trump in this current America, but they won’t nominate them. Come 2024, a whole bunch of brown people will have turned 18, and a whole bunch of brown people will have been given new citizenship status, and then they can make their move.
