New York Students Join General Greta’s Child Soldier Army Against Global Warming

First and foremost, I applaud the idea of not sending children to schools anymore. Sometime in the last thirty years, schools lost all their efficacy and have become simple indoctrination facilities instead. I know that some conservatives will knee-jerk and demand that these kids be put back into school because the liberals tried to take them out, but c’mon, why stare a gift horse in the mouth?

Let’s set these kids free!

Axios:

School districts are debating what position to take after New York City announced that 1.1 million public school students could skip classes without penalties to join the global youth climate strikes Friday, the New York Times reports.

Why it matters: Per the Times, this a test of the movement’s impact — by causing disruptions and getting noticed by political leaders who are in NYC for the United Nations Climate Action Summit 3 days later and the General Assembly meeting that follows it.

Now, child soldiers are nothing new.

In fact, I contend that most children would be happier as soldiers than sitting in school.

The way I see it, they’re out there learning applicable real-life skills, getting fresh air and lots of exercise – which is far more than you can say about school children. So for that reason, I have always been unabashedly in the PRO camp when it comes to the whole child soldier debate.

And I can already hear the kvetching, but in reality, Boomers should be familiar with the practice, because it is simply what you might call an “unpaid internship” to gain experience in an exciting and lucrative field – in this case, war. When you look at it that way, child soldiers are just trying to get a leg-up on life and apply the ol’ bootstraps method like their parents would have wanted.

Now these eco (or rather climate) activists from New York are soldiers as well. And their leader is Greta the Downs, who came to them across the great Salty Pond on a sort of wooden horse that walks across water all the way from the mythical Land of the Ikeans.

They shall make war on the “bougies” in their gated communities who practice climate witchcraft which makes the crops fail, the storms badder and the brown people so mad.

I think we should go ahead with Greta’s and New York’s plan and abolish these useless institutions already, put rifles in the kids’ hands and let the warring begin anew.

As far as I’m concerned, these student strikes are a step in the right direction.
