NPR Whines About Being Hit with “State-Affiliated Media” Label on Twitter

The BBC has always had a “state media” label. I don’t know if they had one on Twitter, but they openly advertise that they are state media and everyone knows they are state media.

Why is it that the same would not be the case for “National Public Radio”?

I do not know the answer to that, and after reading this article from NPR whining about getting a “state-affiliated media” label on Twitter, I still do not understand the complaint.

Bill Chappell writes:

Twitter added a “state-affiliated media” tag to NPR’s main account on Tuesday, applying the same label to the nonprofit media company that Twitter uses to designate official state mouthpieces and propaganda outlets in countries such as Russia and China.

NPR operates independently of the U.S. government. And while federal money is important to the overall public media system, NPR gets less than 1% of its annual budget, on average, from federal sources.

Fact check alert! Weasel wording!

In actual reality, NPR gets more than 10% of its budget from “federal, state, and local sources.” This is on their own website:

The CPB – the Corporation for Public Broadcasting – is a federal government source:

They say “we only get less than 1% of our money from the feds” and then list 8% from CPB. This is just weasel wordsmanship that allows them to cite this “less than 1%” bullshit. They mean that less than 1% is given to them directly and the other 8% is given to them indirectly, via a semi-autonomous government-run foundation, apparently, which is obviously just designed to purposefully confuse people.

This article absolutely needs to be fact-checked with Twitter Notes, because this is one of the most dishonest things I’ve seen in the last hour or so.

Noting the millions of listeners who support and rely upon NPR for “independent, fact-based journalism,” NPR CEO John Lansing stated, “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way. A vigorous, vibrant free press is essential to the health of our democracy.”

Yeah, sure, faggot.

You people literally did a hit piece on Rob Monster for hosting news websites you disagree with.

In that article, they questioned Monster about how he banned me from his services – all parties agreed that I should not have a voice, even though I’m AN AMERICAN CITIZEN who has never been convicted of any crime (except maybe drug driving and cocaine possession – I don’t remember). I’ve certainly never been accused of terrorism or anything else that would mean I do not have a right, under the First Amendment, to do journalism.

I just did a search – there are dozens of articles on NPR calling for me to be silenced.

They even promoted that humanoid slug Talia Lavin and her crusade to silence absolutely anyone on the earth who thinks they have a right to question “God’s chosen people.”

Don’t say you stand for freedom of speech. That is demonstrably bullshit. You can say “oh except for Nazis.” But even if I were a Nazi – and I’m not – that is what “freedom of speech” means – everyone gets to speak freely.

You faggots, like the rest of the Jewmerican media, actively work to suppress any form of dissent in media.

This stupid lie coming after the stupid lie about the 1% federal funding makes me wonder if instead of the “state-affiliated media” tag, NPR should get the “lying Jew rats” tag.

NPR officials have asked Twitter to remove the label. They initially assumed it was applied by mistake, NPR spokesperson Isabel Lara said. “We were not warned. It happened quite suddenly last night,” Lara said.

Oh my! They came in the night to tag me!

Stfu, CUNT.

In response to an NPR email for this story seeking comment and requesting details about what in particular might have led to the new designation, the company’s press account auto-replied with a poop emoji — a message it has been sending to journalists for weeks.

When asked about Twitter’s decision during the White House’s daily briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to address Twitter’s content rules specifically. But she also defended NPR’s journalism.

“There is no doubt of the independence of NPR journalists,” Jean-Pierre said. “If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of their questions, you know this.”

Oh yeah okay, you dumb black bitch.

Twitter’s owner and CEO, Elon Musk, acknowledged the new tag was applied to NPR. Responding to a tweet about the shift, Musk posted an image of a screenshot showing Twitter’s policy defining state-affiliated media, with a short message: “Seems accurate.”

Twitter’s policy describes state-affiliated media as “outlets where the state exercises control over editorial content through financial resources, direct or indirect political pressures, and/or control over production and distribution.”

As recently as Tuesday, Twitter’s policy page stated explicitly that NPR would not be included in this label — before the wording was altered to remove NPR.

The definition fits. I’m sure there is much more direct editorial control by the feds than we know, and I’m sure that if we knew the real story about the media – like we know the real story about social media as a result of the Twitter Files – CNN, NYT, WaPo, and all of the rest of the main outlets would meet this definition as well.

This is the author, Bill Chappell:

How do these men develop these feminine features?

They all have this same look, like they were grown in a lab.

I’m so sick of the media.

It’s just incredible that they are still getting away with it, after all these years, having been proven to not only be shameless, gutless liars, but also to be involved in a conspiracy to silence anyone who questions their narratives.

This is in fact a criminal conspiracy. I was deprived of my Constitutional rights by media working with the government. This is a crime.

I can show very serious damages to myself, obviously, but I can also show damages to the United States of America as a whole.

I’m getting more than 5,000 followers a month now that I’m allowed back on Twitter. If I hadn’t been banned in 2015, I would now have millions of followers and be one of the most important political commentators in America.

We’d be living in a very different country if that was the case, no?

People have to have freedom, and democracy deprives people of freedom.

We need to end American democracy, and we need to do it quickly.
