Spain’s just got activated.
Buoyant right-wingers and downcast Socialists agreed on one thing on Monday in Spain: politics will not be the same again after the surprise election in Andalusia’s regional parliament of 12 far-right lawmakers.
Andalusia kicked off a busy electoral season on Sunday by delivering the Socialists an unexpected blow and handing over to the far-right Vox a regional kingmaker role long unthinkable in a country with memories of military dictatorship still acute.
That’s not even their final form.
Lessons from Andalusia’s vote are that the far-right surge, an increasingly fragmented political scene, and deepening polarization, especially over matters of regional autonomy and immigration, are here to stay, analysts said.
“What happened on Sunday changes everything,” said Narciso Michavila, head of GAD3 pollsters, who had forecast the election of Vox lawmakers but said the fact that as many as 12 got seats in Andalusia’s assembly was an unexpected game-changer.
“What happened here will be decisive for the rest of Spain,” Vox leader Santiago Abascal told a news conference.
Vox’s electoral success on Sunday was the first for the far-right since Spain’s return to democracy in the late 1970s.
Earlier this year, Spain accepted niggers from the Aquarius, a ship from the NGO “Doctors Without Borders” Italy turned down and forced to remain at sea. After that, niggers continued to periodically violate Spain’s beaches, ensuring the Spanish people’s enrichment.

Vox has been derided as far-right and populist, anti-immigrant and anti-Islam but its leader Santiago Abascal believes its recent surge of support is because it is “in step with what millions of Spaniards think”.
Its leaders reject the far-right label, insisting it is a party of “extreme necessity” rather than extremism. Its overall support for Spain’s membership of the EU, it says, differentiates it from many populist and far-right movements across Europe.
The party proposes to “make Spain great again” and critics have described its ideology as a nationalist throwback to the dictatorship of Francisco Franco.
But what do they really want?
“We are the ones who will bring about change, progress and the reconquest,” Francisco Serrano, Vox’s candidate in Andalusia told a loud crowd gathered in Seville, many of whom waved Spanish flags and chanted “Spain! Spain!”
