Voice of Europe:

A Swedish court has ordered the expulsion of Afghan asylum seeker after finding him guilty of brutally raping a 14-year-old girl in Jönköping.

Shokrallah Shahzad, a so-called “unaccompanied migrant child” who claims to be 16-years-old, was found guilty of luring the victim into the woods and raping her after he had meet her and her friends at a lake in Jönköping last June, Swedish news portal Samhällsnytt reports.

After separating the victim from her friends and luring her into the woods, Shokrallah began touching the girl and forced her to kiss him. The victim protested, telling Shokrallah that she she wasn’t interested but the Afghan refused to stop. Instead, he pulled down her pants and threw her on the ground, where he raped her until she bled from the abdomen. The grisly rape was interrupted by one of the victim’s friends who was able to scare Shokrallah away.

The victim then went to the care home where she lives and told the staff what had happened. Police arrived shortly after and took the girl to the hospital. Later the same night police managed to track the perpetrator down and arrested him.

Linda Schön, the prosecutor in the case, classified the crime as “gross rape against children”. According to Schön, Shokrallah committed the rape with violence, recklessness, and cruelty.

On January 27, 2020, Jönköping District Court convicted Shokrallah of rape against children, and sentenced him to 120 hours of community service, ordered his expulsion from the country, and banned him from reentering until 2027.
