It was at 12.30 on Tuesday that the police were alerted to the Ulfsparregatan stop in Gothenburg after a bus driver was beaten by a “gang of young people”, the police write on their website.
The abuse must have happened because of the driver asked the “young people” to get off the bus.
“The youths have stumbled and not got off the bus after several statements. The bus driver stops the bus at the stop, then the youths kick and hit the driver,” the police said.
The gang should then have left the scene while the battered bus driver was waiting for the police.
Police were able to hold interrogations with the driver, who sustained injuries to both legs.
No one is currently arrested, but on the bus there are camera surveillance that the police intend to control.
