A woman was subjected to an assault rape in central Östersund last night. Two men must have held the woman while a third raped her, police say on her website.
It was at half past one on Tuesday that a woman alerted the police that she had been raped outdoors in central Östersund.
According to the police it is about three unknown perpetrators who attacked the woman and then raped her.
The compulsion consisted of two perpetrators holding her while a third carried out sexual intercourse, according to police spokesperson Åsa Mjörndal.
The assault must have occurred sometime between 00.00 and 00.30.
The woman was taken to hospital for examination.
There are currently no suspects.
