WTOK:

Two men recently arrested in Tuscaloosa are now facing more charges in Lauderdale County.

Rasheem Powell and Rodarrius Yates were charged with multiple robberies in Alabama. Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says working with the Tuscaloosa Police Department, They were able to connect the two suspects to an armed robbery at the Toomsuba Dollar General earlier this month. They’re both charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of kidnapping and aggravated assault.

Calhoun says there were two employees working that night, and the suspects held a customer there at the store. Those who saw it happen gave police the clue they needed to connect this crime to many other armed robberies across Alabama.

Calhoun says these three suspects could be involved in at least one other armed robbery in the Toomsuba area.
