Trump Echoes RFK Jr. in Video Attacking Big Pharma, Defending Children’s Health

Donald Trump released a good video this week attacking the pharma industry and saying that he will defend children’s health when reelected by investigating these companies.

He also mentioned the chemicals in our environment which are poisoning us and causing all kinds of problems. (We talk about that issue a lot here on the site.)

The video echoes the talking points of Democrat candidate Robert Kennedy Jr., who is polling at 20% among Democrats.

According to Kennedy, Trump brought him in for a meeting in 2017 and was talking about giving him a position and going to war with vaccines. Despite Trump’s now infamous blunder of promoting the Covid vax, Trump has been anti-vax and promoting the vaccine-autism connection for over a decade.

The meta on the latest video is that Trump may be looking at RFK as a potential challenger, or at least thinking that he is stealing some of his thunder. I have talked to a lot of right-wingers who are more interested in Kennedy than Trump, and I have to assume this is common.

A recent poll showed that 49% of Americans would consider voting for a third party candidate if the 2024 general election was another matchup between Trump and Biden. Kennedy is clearly angling for a third party run, as the DNC is definitely not going to allow him to challenge Biden.

It’s likely that such a run would hurt Trump a lot more than it would hurt Biden, so it makes sense that this is something that is on Trump’s mind.

For me, I don’t really care, because I know mail-in ballots exist, so Joe Biden is going to “win” no matter what.

RFK did a Twitter Space interview with Elon Musk on Monday, which may be of interest to those unfamiliar with his campaign.

It didn’t have the technical problems that the Ron DeSantis “announcement” interview had, which lends further credence to the theory that Elon was purposefully sabotaging DeSantis.
