Women hate to be exposed as the attention junkies that they are.
A newly-qualified paramedic has revealed she has been left devastated by cruel trolls who shamed her for wearing a full face of make-up in a viral work selfie.
Laura Heath, 24, from Staffordshire, shared a snap of herself on Twitter earlier this week which quickly went viral, racking up more than 86,000 likes and 3,200 comments – but some of them weren’t complimentary, and questioned why she was ‘heavily made-up’.
Now she has admitted how one disgusting troll slammed her for her glamorous appearance, with some suggesting she was ‘the reason the COVID-19 death toll is rising.’
Speaking to Tyla, Laura said she had been ‘really low’ and ‘struggling with her mental health the day she posted the selfie, adding: ‘The replies made me feel hurt and upset that people really think that shallow of me and judge my whole persona on one photograph.’
If enough people push the right buttons, women can be made to comply with pretty much anything.
They’re pretty sensitive to what they perceive the social consensus to be, and their brains are not good at handling situations in which the social consensus isn’t totally clear.
This is why shaming them works so well. Even the ones that pretend to be rebellious, like feminists, are ridiculously sensitive to shaming and can be triggered into a nuclear explosion of hysteria with the right words, which is one of the reasons why they push so much to stop all kinds of shaming directed towards females.
In the viral snap, she was pictured sitting in the front of an ambulance as she posed for the full make-up shot.
While most people thanked her for her dedication, others weren’t as nice and questioned why she was ‘heavily made-up’ during her shift.
One disgusting troll, Laura says, even suggested she ‘was the reason the Covid-19 death toll is rising’.
While several of the negative tweets have since been deleted, one response mocked: ‘Proud to be a heavily made up paramedic for this photo’.
Another added: ‘Really (look at me I’m gorgeous an I work for the NHS) selfies for a few likes while people are dying’.
A third person wrote: ‘Seriously? I think that you’ve probably got better things to do than trout pout!’
However, Laura has now spoken up against her critics and described how the many viscous comments affected her.
Speaking to Tyla, Laura said: ‘The unkind comments were mainly focused on my appearance and the fact I wear makeup.
‘I was told I am the reason the death toll is rising. They said that I’m a glorified first aider and it’s OK for paramedics during this pandemic as we get to go home after dropping a patient off.’
She went on to reveal that the ‘whole purpose’ of her post had been to try to be a role model to other young females.
The whole purpose of the post was obviously to receive attention and get a dopamine hit.
When you allow women into men’s spaces, this is what happens. They bring their addiction to attention and drama and pervert whatever activities were supposed to happen in these spaces.
