This was just a bad idea all round.

Especially the “letting a woman organize anything” part.

KTSM:

A 17-year-old allegedly shot and killed a man in Northeast El Paso during a drug deal, court documents said.

Aerious Neko Rutledge, who has no permanent address in El Paso, was arrested in Far East El Paso on April 10. He is suspected of shooting Robert Noble, 57, on April 9 in the 5100 block of Raymond Telles.

A complaint affidavit said that a woman told officers she set up a meeting between Rutledge and Noble so that Noble could buy ecstasy for his girlfriend.

They were outside talking when Rutledge allegedly shot Noble “without provocation,” the affidavit said. When the woman called 911 she said “Neko” was responsible for the shooting.

The affidavit did not name any of the witnesses in the case “for fear of retaliation.

Noble was found by police with a gunshot wound to his body. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Rutledge was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $1 million bond.
