He’s pretty alpha for a Jew, really. He bosses around the whole world and makes outrageous demands, but instead of doing it by whining about the Holocaust and anti-Semitism, he just calls people cowards.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, visibly irritated, on Saturday demanded Western nations provide a fraction of the military hardware in their stock piles and asked whether they were afraid of Moscow.
Several countries have promised to send anti-armor and anti-aircraft missiles as well as small arms but Zelenskiy said Kyiv needed tanks, planes and anti-ship systems.
“That is what our partners have, that is what is just gathering dust there. This is all for not only the freedom of Ukraine, but for the freedom of Europe,” he said in a late night video address.
Ukraine needed just 1% of NATO’s aircraft and 1% of its tanks and would not ask for more, he said.
“We’ve already been waiting 31 days. Who is in charge of the Euro-Atlantic community? Is it really still Moscow, because of intimidation?” he said.
Zelenskiy has repeatedly insisted that Russia will seek to expand further into Europe if Ukraine falls. NATO though does not back his request for a no-fly zone over Ukraine on the grounds this could provoke a wider war.
§This whole situation is just totally bizarre.
During Biden’s bizarre speech Saturday, the crowd was chanting “close the skies,” which is a demand for a no-fly zone, which is a demand for open NATO conflict with Russia, which is a demand for WWIII.
He is still requesting “jets from Poland.” But as we’ve explained as long as this issue has been discussed, that is effectively the same thing as a no-fly zone, because the jets would have to take off for bombing runs from NATO territory, which would be an act of war. Ukraine already has its own jets that NATO already gave them, but it can’t use them, because their airports are all bombed.
As far as other weapons – getting them into the country (at least to Kiev) is virtually impossible.
Also, no amount of NATO weapons can allow the already mostly destroyed Ukrainian military to somehow magically win a war against Russia. This is just Santa Claus type bullshit. I guess if you press them on the question, they’ll admit Ukraine can’t win outright, and then mutter something about how they can “drain Russia.”
But what are they muttering? Russia has only committed a fraction of its forces, and is continuing to act in a very constrained manner, pushing for a negotiated surrender.
If Zelensky starts really forcibly arming conscripted civilians, they’re just going to get slaughtered or, more likely, surrender en masse.

And of course, Biden told US troops on Friday that they would soon be in the Ukraine. Maybe it was just a senile moment. But he did say it, so you just have to interpret that. The White House did denounce him over it, but he still said it.
