I assume, at this point, having seen how desperate these game developers are for second-rate puss, that comic book writers are pretty much the same way. It was only a matter of time before Zoe left for greener pastures.
DC Comics announced that Zoe Quinn will team up with artist Tyler Kirkham to write a Batman and Superman spin-off titled The Infected: Deathbringer #1.
On a meta-level, they must have known how funny it was to bring Zoe Quinn on a project titled “Deathbringer.” I mean the joke just writes itself. You know, after she killed that guy.
Epic troll to be honest.
Quinn’s story will focus on Donna Troy as she becomes infected by The Batman Who Laughs toxin and turns her into the worst version of herself. Sounds pretty gay.
The art is cool though, I guess.
But Zoe Quinn didn’t make that.
Speaking of meta, I have to say that I now have an intense fascination with the Zoe Quinn saga. To recap: this ugly whore single-handedly wrecked the reputation of the gaming journalism industry. I also credit her with starting the whole anti-Incel meme.
She probably did some other stuff along the way, but she skyrocketed her public profile again by getting an indie game developer to kill himself. Instead of getting punished, socially or professionally at least, she appears to have gotten a career boost, a sort of level up, a “bing bing wahoo!” for all you gamers out there.
Now, she’s working for the comic books industry and pushing her feminist/satanic trash onto an industry that is moving in a bold, progressive and pozzed direction.
People are calling for her to be fired, and not put on such a prestigious project.
But the sheer contempt that the comic book industry has for its audience rivals that of any right-wing podcast, so there’s little chance that anything will be done.
Comic book writers are going to have to go full samizdat and move away from the big companies if they want to retain any credibility/audience going forward.
What we really need though is some kind of…. gamer and comic fan alliance.
Some sort of an…. incel uprising.
