All y’all best listen up, nigga. I just done wrote a Stormer Ebonics article, and I still be listening to rap music, as I be do when I be writing them Stormer Ebonics.
But I can be tell you: it ain’t no good Donald Trump be leaving a nigga like Gaetz out to dry.
Y’all know I ain’t like to hit up dat CNN no more, but we going to have to for this one.
CNN:
Rep. Matt Gaetz, who’s facing a federal investigation into sex trafficking allegations, was recently denied a meeting with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate as the ex-President and his allies continue to distance themselves from the Florida congressman.
Two people familiar with the matter said Gaetz tried to schedule a visit with Trump after it was first revealed that he was being investigated, but the request was rejected by aides close to the former President, who have urged Trump not to stick his neck out to defend Gaetz. Harlan Hill, a spokesman for Gaetz, said the congressman did not request a meeting with Trump this week.
“Rep. Gaetz was welcomed to Trump Doral this week and has not sought to meet with President Trump himself,” Hill said in a statement to CNN, claiming that Gaetz has “been mostly relaxing with his fiancée this week during recess.”
The interference by Trump’s aides signals that Gaetz finds himself increasingly isolated as he weathers a potentially career-ending scandal just months after he offered to leave his plum job in Congress to join the 45th President’s impeachment defense team. Trump has issued only one statement about Gaetz since the public first learned of the congressman’s role in a sex trafficking inquiry at the beginning of April. In it, Trump denied ever receiving a blanket pardon request from the 38-year-old congressman and noted Gaetz’s denial of the allegations against him.
Following repeated requests for comment, Trump spokesman Jason Miller wrote in a tweet on Sunday evening that Gaetz did not request a meeting “and therefore, it could never have been denied.”
Okay, I turned off the rap music. I was listening to the Chronic (the original).
Jason Miller is apparently running the entire Trump operation now. It seems apparent that he is Jewish, though that has not been confirmed. He does not appear related to Stephen Miller, the Jew who ran Trump’s previous endeavors, but Miller is the most common Jewish name in America (also many non-Jews have that name).
Federal investigators are examining allegations that Gaetz had sex with an underage girl who was 17 at the time and with other women who were provided drugs and money in violation of sex trafficking and prostitution laws. Federal investigators are also seeking to determine whether Gaetz was provided travel and women in exchange for political favors as part of a broader probe, people familiar with the investigation tell CNN.
Gaetz has continued to deny all allegations against him and has not been charged with any crimes.
The ex-President has otherwise kept silent since issuing the two-sentence missive last week. Speaking to deep-pocketed GOP donors at his Palm Beach club on Saturday, Trump omitted Gaetz as he name-checked many of his top Republican defenders — from South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, according to two people familiar with his remarks.
Trump’s failure to mention Gaetz was viewed as conspicuous to some in the crowd, given the congressman’s outsized loyalty to the former President and the litany of other Republicans Trump called out during his speech.
This is a real bitch move, frankly. If it’s even true – which we don’t know.
That speech, as I noted on Sunday, remains secret from the public. The media was there, and reported on comments, but Trump chose not to stream the event, meaning the media can include or exclude whatever they want from the speech.
This is obviously a moronic way to run events. Even if Trump can’t find someone who knows how to put a stream on his website, he should at least tell one of his people to record the event on their phone so there is a record of what he said.
Meanwhile, Gaetz’s appearance on Friday at a conference for pro-Trump women raised eyebrows inside the former President’s orbit. Aides saw his last-minute speech at the Women for America First event, which was held at the nearby Trump National Doral resort, as a blatant attempt to reach Trump and his supporters.
A person directly involved with Trump’s post-presidential operation said the ex-President’s aides “were under the impression that Gaetz went down there to try and run into Trump or people around him.”
We reported on that event, and posted the whole video of his speech. The speech was mostly about the attacks on him.
It was an okay speech, definitely much better than his bizarre appearance on Tucker Carlson, where he attempted to suck Tucker into his drama.
It’s just incredible that Trump is so unwilling to be loyal to anyone, and then surrounds himself with people who hate him.
He doesn’t have to say “I know for a fact Gaetz never went for jailbait!”, but he can say the truth: “this is all suspicious, it looks like someone is out to get him, and they’re out to get him primarily because of his links to Trump.”
You have to wonder why anyone would ever stick their neck out for Trump, given just how many people he’s thrown under the bus. The Trump presidency and this weird post-presidency period are going to be known as “the Busocaust,” when six million of Trump’s most loyal supporters were thrown under the bus.
At least when he threw the Capitol Stormers under the bus, you could say “okay, well he’s just a pussy trying to stay out of jail.”
But what possible excuse could there be for bussing Gaetz?
Honestly: I never had any of the problems I’ve had until I stuck my neck out for Trump. The whole world only came down on me after I’d gone hard for Trump. I don’t expect him to stick his neck out for me personally, but I did expect him to do something about the censorship. But he didn’t. And how did that work out for him?
Whatever.
It doesn’t really matter much now. Whatever this thing Trump is doing isn’t going anywhere anyway, so he’s going to just get less and less important from here on out.
After Miller announced that Trump’s plan was to make his own Facebook, I was like “okay well, this is done – lets move along now.”
But I will just say this: I’m riding with Gaetz. I don’t personally like him, and I’ve talked a lot of shit about him in the past, but it is 100% clear that he is being targeted and harassed by the feds, and I stand with anyone in that position.
Whether Gaetz actually was involved with a 17-year-old is irrelevant. Firstly, that isn’t really the business of the FBI, and should be dealt with by state authorities, which makes it obvious from the start that this is a scam. Secondly, if there was an underage girl, it was a setup, where the feds made it look like she was much older.
There remains no girl. If they had a girl, they would produce her. So either she doesn’t have any bad feelings towards Gaetz and doesn’t want to get involved, or she doesn’t exist. And it is quite possible that no girl exists at all. I would think that if the feds had any photos – even from CCTV – of a girl that looked even youngish, they would have dropped those by now, which leads me to believe the entire thing could just be totally fabricated.
Right now, an overwhelming majority of Gaetz voters don’t think he should resign, according to a poll released on Saturday.
If Gaetz can make it through this, he might end up in a really good position to oppose the system.
I would be happy to consult with his consultants, as I do have a lot of ideas about building a movement that is not based around voting (which is no longer a legitimate process). People know how to get ahold of me.
