Jens Reiterates Desire for “Endless War” Unless Russia Offers Unconditional Surrender

There’s never been a war where a country has lost half of its population to death and emigration, had more than 20% of its territory seized, was incapable of sustaining its own basic infrastructure, and was continuing to demand an unconditional surrender.

This is only possible because the decisions about the country are not being made by the country, but by foreigners who literally do not care if every last Ukrainian dies.

RT:

The West must prepare for “a long war” in Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg declared on Sunday. Despite claiming to want a “quick peace” in Ukraine, Stoltenberg insisted that he still supports President Vladimir Zelensky’s goal of a military victory over Russia.

“Most wars last longer than expected when they first begin,” Stoltenberg said in an interview with Germany’s Funke media group. “Therefore we must prepare ourselves for a long war in Ukraine.”

According to media reports over the last two months, Western officials and military planners have conceded that Ukraine’s ongoing counteroffensive against Russian forces is unlikely to succeed, leaving the front lines mostly unchanged as winter sets in.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine has lost upwards of 71,000 men since the counteroffensive began in June. Despite this stark attrition rate – with some units losing 90% of their manpower, according to Ukrainian sources, Stoltenberg insisted that NATO will continue to push for a military, not a diplomatic, solution.

“We are all wishing for a quick peace,” Stoltenberg said. “But at the same time we must recognise: if President Zelensky and the Ukrainians stop fighting, their country will no longer exist. If President Putin and Russia lay down their weapons, we will have peace.”

Why would the country “no longer exist”? What does that even mean?

How can someone at such a high level make these kinds of nonsensical statements, and not be questioned by anyone?

If the Ukraine keeps fighting, their country will no longer exist.

These are semi-official numbers from the Wilson Center from January:

There’s been no big analysis like this since January, but estimates are that it’s down in the 25 million range. From 44 million pre-war. People are still leaving every day, and tens of thousands of soldiers are dying every month.

They’re not going to just not have any military, they’re not going to have any people at all.

These people who left as refugees are not coming back.

Jens will not say what the mission is. Well, he says the mission is to force the unconditional surrender of Russia, but there is no reality in which that happens.

You might as well have Greta Thunberg running NATO.

Even if you don’t care about the total destruction of the Ukraine – and clearly, no one cares about that, other than the Russians – there is zero action plan here. It’s just these wild, unhinged, bizarre statements coming from adults who sound like deranged children.

Someone needs to ask Jens what it means that “the Ukraine will no longer exist” if they negotiate a peace. But they won’t. This is the threat of a totally censored, totally controlled media. This is what I warned about in 2017. Everything just slips into the Twilight Zone. The leaders themselves have no feedback mechanism. If you go around saying insane things and no one questions you, and in fact, people say “oh yes, that’s very correct,” then you lose the ability to think rationally.

I run a website. But I’ve always wanted critical feedback on my materials. I search it out. When I was on Twitter, I never blocked anyone. I said: “Tell me where I’m wrong.”

If you have a media that refuses to ask the most basic questions about the most outrageous possible statements by the people in charge, you’re going to sink into a black hole.

I really thought that this “counteroffensive” failing was going to signal a turn around. But they are just doubling down.

The only way this makes sense is if they are planning on sending in some new army.

Certainly, the Ukraine army can’t keep dying forever. There are not enough people for that. They’ve already sent in teenagers and old men, now they’re sending in women. I don’t know why they sacrificed so many people in this “counteroffensive” when they knew it would result in massive death and zero gains. But that’s what they did.

It’s so frustrating to even think about this.

In democracy, you have no ability to question the decisions of the powerful. This isn’t sustainable long term, when the powerful are this irresponsible.
