MIGA: As Trump Promised, Iranian Military is Declared a Terrorist Group Ahead of Jewish Election

The Israeli election is tomorrow, so today Dorlagg Golanch has declared the actual military of Iran to be a terrorist group.

This is the first time in history that the US military has declared a nation’s military a terrorist group. It goes without saying that it would have made a lot more sense to declare the military of Saudi Arab or Israel itself a terrorist group, given that they function in that capacity.

All the Iranians do is fight against terrorists in ISIS and Al-Queda.

NPR:

The Trump administration is designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a foreign terrorist organization, taking an unprecedented step as it seems to increase pressure on Iran’s regime. The move seems certain to bring a new level of tension between the two countries, as Iran’s leaders have said they will retaliate in kind.

Iranian lawmakers have prepared legislation that would label the U.S. military as a terrorist group, according to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency.

President Trump announced the designation Monday morning, in a shift from the decades in which the U.S. has viewed Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism.

“This unprecedented step, led by the Department of State, recognizes the reality that Iran is not only a State Sponsor of Terrorism, but that the IRGC actively participates in, finances, and promotes terrorism as a tool of statecraft,” Trump said, in a White House statement. “The IRGC is the Iranian government’s primary means of directing and implementing its global terrorist campaign.”

This is so fucking ridiculous.

What terrorism does Iran fund? You notice they never say that. Because there isn’t any.

MAYBE you could complain they give money to Hamas and Hamas launches rockets. Okay. But Hamas is also an elected political party and the only group keeping people fed in Gaza.

Furthermore, though no one condones launching rockets at Israeli civilians (I condone that), most people in the world do view it as valid that the Hamas defends when Israel invades Gaza. No one thinks that is terrorism. So even if Iran is sending weapons – and that isn’t proven – there are valid, non-terrorism related reasons to do that.

Almost more ridiculous than Trump declaring Iran’s military a terrorist group is Iran declaring the US military a terrorist group. The US military basically is a Jewish terrorist group, but Iran saying it just looks pathetic and weak.

Nothing happens to the US military because of this. Conversely, anyone associated with the Iranian military is going to have their bank accounts frozen and probably just forfeited across the entire planet, it’s going to be against internationally enforced law for anyone to meet with them, and anyone who does meet with them is going to be under threat of having their own bank accounts robbed or being literally arrested.

Elections Tomorrow

Whether or not this move by Golanch will have the intended effect of helping Bibi in the election is yet to be seen. Bibi said yesterday that he’s basically just going to annex the entirety of Palestine if he is reelected.

But the election isn’t as important as it might have seemed a year ago, because his frontrunner opponent is basically the same guy as him, just ostensibly with less baggage.

Who knows if he actually is less corrupt – he’s already been metooed.

In February 2019, Gantz was accused on Facebook by Israeli-American Navarone Jacobs that 40 years earlier, while she was 14 years old he exposed his body in front of her and caused her traumatic disorders. Gantz immediatelly denied all allegations, calling them a “blood libel” and claiming that such an incident never took place and that the allegations were politically motivated. Gantz has since sued Jacobs for defamation.

Given the timing of that it could have been placed by Bibi and his people – who knows.

I don’t know.

I don’t care.

I guess all things being equal I would prefer that Bibi lose, as that will at least throw some chaos into the mix. He probably isn’t going to lose though.
