Texas: In the Middle of a Rap Concert, 11 People Have Heart Attacks – 8 Dead So Far

Wait, what?

AP:

Fans attending a Houston music festival surged toward the stage during a performance by rapper Travis Scott, triggering panic in the crowd of tens of thousands. At least eight people were killed and many more hurt, authorities said.

The chaos unfolded Friday evening at Astroworld, a sold-out, two-day event at the NRG Park stadium. An estimated 50,000 people were in attendance.

“The crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage, and that caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries,” Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña told a news conference. “People began to fall out, become unconscious, and it created additional panic.”

Seventeen people were taken to hospitals, including 11 who were in cardiac arrest, Peña said, and “scores of individuals” were injured.

Event organizers had arranged for medical teams to be at the festival. But once the crowd surge began, those teams were “quickly overwhelmed,” the fire chief said.

In a video posted to social media, Scott could be seen stopping the concert at one point and asking for aid for someone in the audience: “Security, somebody help real quick.”

Houston Police Executive Assistant Chief Larry Satterwhite, who was near the front of the crowd, said the surge “happened all at once.”

Suddenly we had several people down on the ground, experiencing some type of cardiac arrest or some type of medical episode,” Satterwhite said. “And so we immediately started doing CPR and moving people right then.”

Satterwhite said he quickly met with promoters, who agreed to end the event “in the interest of public safety.”

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner called for calm and urged people not to jump to conclusions about what caused the surge.

“I think it’s very important that none of us speculate. Nobody has all the answers tonight,” Finner said.

You have to wonder about the cardiac arrest, no?

Don’t you have to wonder about that?

I want to know if the concert required vaccination. They’re not supposed to be doing that in Texas, but they might be doing it anyway.

Or the people might have been voluntarily vaccinated.

Mass heart attacks in the middle of a concert is not even remotely normal. I’ve never heard of anything like this in my life.

Concerts get rough sometimes. It’s pretty normal. When I saw the headline, I assumed people got stampeded. But no. The crowd got rowdy and people started trying to escape it, then they started having heart attacks.

This is black people acting black, of course. But black people have been acting black for a long time.

Someone on Twitter is saying people were selling “laced pills.”

That might be what they blame this on.

But I’m just gonna go ahead and say: I think it’s the vax.

It makes total sense.

The reason so many athletes are having heart attacks – some of them dying – is that they are constantly straining their hearts.

Being involved in a stampede is going to put a similar kind of strain on the heart.

Many of these alternative doctors are saying that the majority of people who have taken the vax are experiencing heart damage.

This guy explained the process and said that 62% of people have permanent heart damage.

Having a heart attack at a concert is something that would happen to an elderly person, no?

What I think we’re looking at is that vaxers are now in the same class of heart health as people in their 70s.

It was always sort of ridiculous to imagine that everyone was just going to die from this vaccine immediately. What made sense was that it would kill some people quickly (more than all other vaccines in history combined), but mostly it would sterilize people, and also cause them to develop long-term chronic health problems.
