Knox MacEwen
This was always happening.
Shut up, or we’ll close your bank account.
A 14-year-old boy died over the weekend while running a 5K race at a Florida high school.
The teen, identified by his family as Knox MacEwen, apparently went into cardiac arrest during the run at Everglades High School Saturday morning, Miramar police told NBC6-South Florida.
Emergency personnel got to the high school at about 9 a.m. and rushed MacEwen to Memorial Miramar, but he couldn’t be saved.
He was later pronounced dead in the hospital, according to the outlet.
The boy was a student at Western High School in Davie and was running for a JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) exercise.
It’s a shame, really.
But the fact is, he could have given the flu to his 89-year-old grandmother, and she would have died from it.
We exchanged a 14-year-old for an 89-year-old, and that sounds fair to me.
